Stu Sollman (far right) is from Huntingburg, Indiana, a traditional, Americana town where the movie "A League of Their Own" was filmed. Stu has his Master's in Art Education, teaches elementary school, has been married for eight years (to wife, Felicia) and is the father of a 7 year-old son. Stu and Felicia welcomed Ava, their adopted daughter from China, in May of '07. Stu's love for music is obvious to everyone who sees and hears him and we appreciate immensely his childlike energy and enthusiastic approach to ministry. He had been with the Motet Singers choral group for 12 seasons (before we kidnapped him), with whom he sang baritone. Stu is our very gifted primary lead singer.
Tim Shaner (far left), born in Erie, PA, grew up in Louisville and now lives in the St. Matthews area. He has been married for 28 years (to wife, Tish) and has two grown children. He has the innate ability to stay positive no matter what, and does well to keep us all focused. With his addition, is very much reponsible for the culmination of what God had always planned for "Water's Edge". "Little Timmy" bears a striking visual (and audio) resemblance to Kenny Rogers. He brings a mellow smoothness to our group as a baritone who sings some lead as well. He also is our very talented instrumentalist, accompanying us on acoustic guitar occasionally.
Dan Blanchard (2nd fm right) has called Louisville his home for 20 years. He holds a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology and directs Evergreen Christian Counseling Center (www.evergreenccc.com) here in Louisville. He is an eloquent speaker and typically acts as the group's spokesman. Having minored in music theory at the undergraduate level, he now functions as our high tenor. Handling many of the "behind the scenes" & scheduling tasks, Dan has a gift for harmonizing just about anything. His favorite people in the world are named Jeff, Tim, Matt, Haleigh, Jon & Hannah (his sons and daughters and Elizah, Isaiah, Cady, Chloe, Savannah, Jazzy & Lincoln, his grandkids.)
Tim Blanchard (2nd fm left) is perhaps the most uniquely talented member of our ensemble. In addition to singing bass, Tim also functions as our vocal percussionist, who embellishes several numbers with his "beat-boxing." Tim feels he has been called specifically to minister to kids of all ages and those who may never experience the "coolness of Christ." Additionally, he has written and arranged some of the songs that comprise our repertoire and has a tremendous"ear" for our overall sound. Tim is in his seventh year of marriage (to Constance) and has a 6 year-old old daughter, Cadence, and another daughter, Chloe, who is now 3.
